Sourcing the majority of  ingredients from local suppliers. Stephen and the team continue to deliver dishes that  surprise and delight. Friday April 27th brings us a unique evening with "Mary Queen of Cheeses" the one and only Mary Quicke MBE. Renowned for her amzing knowledge on her (family company) subject we look forward to her devilish deliverance. We will create some lovely dishes with Quickes Cheeses in mind. Like Gypsy Jazz? We do especially when it is performed by the excellent Hamer and Isaacs. This will be their first appearance @ Bistro One on Friday 25th May - 7 for 7.30 - when they will be performing Jigs and Jazzy Tunes from the Roaring Twenties plus a smidgen of Djano Reinhardt and Stephane Grappelli thrown in for good measure. Our Jazz Supper will be a fancy affair featuring classic French Creole influenced supper with some very tasty wines to match. Limited to 32 places we strongly recommend an early booking (01752 313 315) £45 will secure your place at the Jazz Table.   

The inaugral FoodPlymouth Award for Best Restaurant in Plymouth 2011/12 has been awarded to Bistro One. On behalf of all @ Bistro One I recieved this accolade @ Flavour Fest 2011 in August. It means a great deal to us as its very much a part of our ethos. Sustainability, low-cardon footprint, healthy food and simply working very closely with excellent local suppliers. We are chuffed to bits and hope we can justify it. V many thanks to the diners of Plymouth who voted for us. We hope to see you all very soon.

Seasonal additions to Menus @ Bistro One - the search for new ingredients continues this SpringTime with some very special Smoked Salmon from (major-award winner) Mike's Smokehouse in Loddiswell. This is the real thing expertly smoked by one of South Hams best producers. Welfare Veal from Bocaddon Farm in Lanreath makes another appearance this Spring with favourite dished like Osso Bucco, Calves Liver and Bacon and (new) Veal Sausages and Salami! Brilliant stuff indeed.
