Now well into its eighth year, Bistro One, situated in the historic Victorian Conservation area known as Ebrington Street, only Five Minutes from the University of Plymouth  the Barbican, Drakes Circus Shopping Centre and Jury's Inn, Chef and Restaurateur Stephen Barrett brings a menu of surprises cooked in a Modern Bistro Style. Sourcing the majority of  ingredients from local suppliers. Stephen and the team continue to deliver dishes that  surprise and delight. Wines also play a very important role @ Bistro One with a short but succinct collection of well-priced house wines and funky bin-ends at excellent prices.

  Scaffolding and Build-Up news!  This Spring the two properties adjacent to us will be demolished to make way for above accommodation for Plymouth University students and below the supermarket giant Sainsbury's will be opening a Sainsbury's Local. This is the newest Sainsbury's Local in Plymouth and will change the nature of Ebrington Street for ever! This will also bring lots and lots of scaffolding which for some will indicate we are closed! We will not be closed we will be very firmly open maybe with our hard hats on!  More info as and when we have it!

Seasonal additions to Menus @ Bistro One - the search for new ingredients continues this Spring with some very special Smoked Salmon from (major-award winner) Mike's Smokehouse in Loddiswell. This is the real thing expertly smoked by one of South Hams best producers. Welfare Veal from Bocaddon Farm in Lanreath makes another appearance this year with favourite dished like Osso Bucco, Calves Liver and Bacon and (new) Veal Sausages and Salami! Brilliant stuff indeed. Hake, Gurnard, Grey Mullet all very local and sustainable are the early winter choice of day-boat fish served with original sauces and garnishes...
